Northbridge Business Plaza Sponsors

On July 17th 2010, the businesses in the Northridge Business Plaza (283 Northfield) hosted a BBQ fundraiser for Kidsability. We were successful in raising over $2800 in support of this fantastic local charity. There were clowns, burgers and special deals to be had at all of the stores.

KidsAbility provides rehabilitation services for children from Waterloo Region and Guelph Wellington from birth to 18 years of age. They are one of 20 Children's Treatment Centres in Ontario and are accountable to the Ontario Ministry of Children & Youth Services.

KidsAbility is a dynamic, multi-faceted organization that serves children with a wide range of special needs. This includes children with developmental disabilities and delays related to premature birth, medical syndromes such as down syndrome, coordination disorders, and autism; physical disabilities such as muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and cerebral palsy; and communication diffficulties in language, articulation, fluency and voice.

Vintner's Cellar

We are a premium wine making establishment that offers over fifty varieties of wine to be made in the store or taken home. We offer both concentrate kits and pure juice kits for your wine making pleasure and are dedicated to making your wine making experience easy and enjoyable by providing a fun environment with state of the art equipment.

Our wine is made using a six week process that produces a high quality wine. We only use reverse osmosis water in the wine making to guarantee the best flavor and quality. All of our kits make approximately 30 bottles of wine and all of our pricing includes everything you need except the bottles which we sell at the store for your convenience.

Supper Works

At SupperWorks, they take the work out of supper. They do the menu planning. they do the shopping. They do the washing, the chopping, the grating, the slicing, and the clean-up! You prepare tasty, nutritious meals without the time, without the hassle, without the mess!

In about 2 hours, you'll prepare 12 entrees (1 hour for 6 entrees). Each full-sized entree serves 4 to 6 people. You can also split most of our recipes in half, using 2 smaller containers.

Here's how it works:

When you arrive at SupperWorks for your session, say "Hi", pick up an apron and get started! Their staff will be there to answer any questions.
You will move from station to station and will prepare one entree at each station.
Every ingredient for every recipe will be washed, chopped, grated, sliced and ready for you at each station.
Each station is also equipped with a recipe, all necessary utensils, and containers.
Once you've completed an entree, store it on your own shelf in their refrigerator.
Just leave the mess and move on to the next station. Forget the clean-up. We do that for you!
Enjoy listening to music, chatting with staff, friends, and those around you.
When you've finished preparing all of your entrees, pack them into your own coolers, boxes, or laundry baskets.
Once home, place the meals in your freezer. When you're ready to eat one of your SupperWorks entrees, simply thaw and cook. We provide all cooking instructions.

Krav Maga

Our martial arts school is located on the corner of Northfield Drive and Bridge Street in the Eastbridge section of Waterloo. Our school is over 6000 square feet with three classrooms containing a special martial arts padded floor that is a pleasure to work out on. Our adult classrooms are well equipped with Krav Maga brand top-of-the-line training equipment. We use a special track system to make our 200 lb heavy bags moveable to anywhere in the room. You will enjoy training using a variety of pads and shields that are perfectly suited to the activity you are participating in. Our kids' classroom is also well equipped to serve their needs with standup XXL bags, shields and targets. Every classroom has its own music system pre loaded with class length soundtracks for every program. Adult change rooms have showers and dress areas so that you can leave after your class ready to go back to work or out to dinner. Kids have their own separate change rooms to use. We have a lobby with seating, cable TV, a vending machine with drinks and snacks and a full equipment and apparel store for your convenience.
